Your Speaking Coach and Mentor: Steve Payne

Steve Payne is a communication skills expert, actor, writer, keynote speaker, TEDx speaker & coach, published author and one of the UK's leading Public Speaking coaches.  

He trained at the world-renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and worked for more than 10 years as a professional actor in film, television, theatre and radio, appearing in such well-known UK TV series, such as Inspector Morse and EastEnders.

He was an Associate Producer on the Oscar short-listed short film 'Gone Fishing' and co-devised and scripted the short film, 'Morrison's Birthday Party', which won the Best Drama at the New York International Film and Video Festival (2010).

He directed and co-edited the documentary 'Swim Fat Boy Swim' (2010).

Steve also has a solid business background. He was Sales Director for an international trade company for 5 years, travelling globally from the company's base in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

For the last decade, Steve has been helping organisations, leaders and individuals across Europe and the Americas speak and present with impact and influence.

Steve is also the founder of the Academy of Coaching and Training and is one of very few certified Master Trainers of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in the world. He sits on the External Training and Assessment Panel for the Global Association for NLP (ANLP).

Steve is the co-author of the critically acclaimed 'My 31 Practices', a book which explores how values shape our behaviour and decision-making, published by LID. He also features as one of the thought-leaders in LID Publishing's '250 Insights: To Develop Your Professional and Personal Life'.
