Steve's story...
As a young boy, Steve was painfully shy. At a school meeting in front of his peers and the teaching staff, he was unexpectedly asked to read out the minutes of the previous meeting. His heart began pounding, he felt a colour-flush wash over his entire face, and he started to sweat! He then proceeded to stutter and splutter his way through each line of the words on the page in front of him.
The embarrassment he experienced was so profound that he determined he would never allow himself to be in that position ever again. He practiced reading out loud to himself every night and worked on his shyness by volunteering for the school plays.
Before long, he began to enjoy reading and speaking and the impact it could have on others. The transformation was so profound, he decided he wanted to become an actor.
After leaving school, he got a place at the world-renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and then worked as a professional actor in film, television, theatre and radio for many years. Steve featured in some of the UK's best-loved series, such as EastEnders and Inspector Morse.
The experience of being an actor helped Steve to realise that we are all capable of exercising enormous behavioural flexibility. This led Steve to becoming a professional speaker, one of very few Master Trainers of Neuro Linguisitic Programming (NL:P) in the world, and create the Academy of Coaching and Training to help others realise their potential.
Today, whether it's hosting the GANT Awards in Stockholm, keynote speeches for IKEA in Prague, or Luxottica in São Paulo, or ADP in Rome, Steve helps people and organisations all over the world achieve their potential through transformational speaking, coaching and training.
